Can a movie influence the immigration debate?

Steve Elliott, President, Grassfire.org Alliance Remarks on the Movie 'Border'  "We all saw the movie, and the lawlessness, chaos, and fear that
film-maker Chris Burgard captured is both compelling and profoundly
disturbing. As one team member wrote after seeing the movie,
"I went through almost every emotion in my being.""

I'm sure its a powerful movie to compell americans to have awareness to whats going on in current events. But don't misunderstand me. What about previous movies such as Red Dawn or the Television drama "The Day After"  Which reflects possiblities of a Nuclear attack on America. With Red Dawn. It shows Struggling kids that faced a Russian Cuban Invasion of America. And how they faught back against the invasion force. The Television Series Jericho is a small town dealing with the aftermath of a Nuclear attack. on their country. The plot shows it must be homegrown terrorism to some extent. I tell you when the years pass and five years down the road most everyone fogets these Movies and TV series. People these days have a short attention span.

"Border" is the REAL story about what is happening on our borders--
the story our government refuses to believe and the story they
don't want you to know. But it's a story that must be told. The basic delema will be is that will americans demand action on part of the Goverment?
